Conclusion

Although there is a direct correlation between the economy of communities and the progress of technology, causation cannot be implied
- This being said, technology is not the ONLY solution to bettering the economy, but it is certainly a first step in the right direction
Some recommendations from research include:
- Motivating companies to invest more of their money into technology
- Motivating people to become more competent with the digital technologies
- Increasing competition between firms by utilizing technology more
- ARC should promote inclusiveness of communities during the grant making process to maximize community use of investments
- ARC and communities can express their needs for telecommunication and internet services to increase competition
S&T (Strategic Scientific and Technology) intiative:
- Find "clusters" of existing technological industries that have the potential of growing and investing money in that cluster
- Expanding local networks
